Leading lady Melissa Anschutz (Bestseller, Ashes of Eden) is joining legendary actress Lana Wood (The Searchers, Grayeagle) on ‘Wild Faith’ shooting this autumn in Michigan.
Director Jesse Low coming off the success of “40 Nights,” the first in a trilogy of biblical themed films penned by DJ Perry, will now roll into pre-production on his next collaboration with Collective Development Inc. (CDI). Perry will lead a team of producers from the Michigan-based production company to produce “Wild Faith”. This project is a period-piece that takes place in the years shortly following the Civil War.
“I had a film script sitting on the shelf and Jesse (Low) liked the setting and the core message on the story. We worked from page one to adapt a new storyline that would work with our current budget.” – DJ Perry, writer/producer
Casting is underway and two amazing talents have immediately signed onto the project. Lana Wood, who has a wonderful history in the western genre working with the likes of John Wayne and director John Ford, has committed to playing one of our important townsfolk.
CDI regular Melissa Anschutz, will be producing but additionally she will be taking on the role of the mysterious circus boss that motivates our story.
Intrigue, action and drama will all combine in this throwback nod to old-school Disney films filled with grit but also served up with a generous portion of family values and life lessons scatterred throughout.
